May-Way Farms, Inc., has a long time history in livestock and crop production. In 1918, Jason’s great grandfather, Harve Flory, started a dairy farm where the current farm headquarters are located today. Crops, Dairy production and Registered Holsteins were the mainstay for four generations until the fall of 1991 when the dairy herd was dispersed. Row Crop and Commercial Cow/Calf beef production grew during the 1990’s. Jason shared a fondness for Purebred cattle with his grandfather Wayne and father Stan. With children at 4-H age, they realized something was missing and it was time to begin a new chapter.
After a year of debate, two Registered Angus heifers were purchased in 2004 as show cattle and from there the herd has grown. Currently the Registered her numbers over 150 females and over 225 commercial females.
Both A.I. and embryo transfer is extensively used here at May-Way. Current A.I. sires include BC Raven, BC Lookout, SAV Bismark, SAV Pioneer , SAV Net Worth and WK Vegas. Current herd sires include May-Way Modified, May-Way 1I2 819 and May-Way 519. Breeding superior phenotype and balanced E.P.D. cattle is a must for the bull buying customers in our area. All of us at May-Way have really enjoyed our journey thus far and friends we have met in the Angus business.
